Just like he said, a few minutes later, Fu Hua appeared outside Jia Li's school gate in his red sports car.

When Jia Li saw the car, she felt it was familiar and took small steps towards it.

Fu Hua honked and rolled down the car's window. He had a pair of sunglasses 🕶️ over his eyes.

Jia Li recognized him and hurried in her steps. She opened the front passenger door and got in, shutting the door behind her.

"Good afternoon." Jia Li greeted, but she didn't receive any response for her greeting.

"Put on your seatbelt." Fu Hua instructed as he rolled up the car windows and secured his seatbelt.

Jia Li secured her seatbelt, and before she could react, she heard Fu Hua asking her what she would like for lunch.

"What would you like to eat for lunch?"

"Are we not going home?" Jia Li asked with a little bit of confusion.

Fu Hua glanced at her for a moment before moving back his gaze to the roads without saying anything.

Jia Li felt she asked a stupid question because if they were going straight to the house, he wouldn't have asked what she wanted to eat. So, guessing he was taking her out for lunch, she replied in a tiny voice.

"I will eat anything apart from seafood." Jia Li responded.

Fu Hua didn't say anything. He turned up the music and drove them straight to a high-end restaurant.

When they walked into the restaurant, Jia Li knew there were levels to wealth. She couldn't believe she was going to eat there.

Someone came to lead them to the room Fu Hua had reserved.

Jia Li was a little tensed when they got to the room. She had no idea why he would book a private room just for them to have lunch.

There was just a sofa capable of carrying or more like housing three to four people, and a round glass table in the room.

Seeing the interior looks of the room, Jia Li could tell how much it costs to get that exquisite design. Since she started living with the Fu's, she could estimate costs of expensive things and she could tell the differences between a fake and a real product.

"What would you like to have, go ahead and make your choice." Fu Hua said as he handed the menu the waiter passed to him.

"Thank you!" Jia Li said politely as she took the menu from him. She glanced through it and could only see fancy names there. The number of times she went to a fancy restaurant, can be counted on one hand.

She really couldn't make out the food from their fact names.

Seeing her confused look, Fu Hua took the menu from her. "Don't bother, I will make the order myself."

Jia Li felt grateful.

Fu Hua made orders for both of them before sending the waiter away.

As the waiter left, Jia Li could feel the awkward silence. She didn't know why Fu Hua wasn't saying anything and was pressing his phone. As for her, she couldn't just bring up a topic, right?

Jia Li was thankful the waiter returned a few minutes later with their order.

After serving them, the waiters left. Jia Li discovered the dishes Fu Hua ordered for them were the same.

Finally putting his phone away, Fu Hua said to Jia Li, "Eat". Well, it was more like a command.

Jia Li only started eating when she saw him pick up his cutlery.

Halfway through their lunch, Fu Hua asked, "Do you like it?"

"Yeah."

"Eat more." Fu Hua said.

Although Jia Li liked the food, she was too nervous to eat properly. She was picking her food a little at a time, and Fu Hua finally noticed it.

Knowing she was nervous, he said to her, "You should eat well. Don't be nervous that we are alone, I'm not going to eat you up!"

Jia Li almost choked on her food. She hurriedly picked up the napkin and covered her mouth with it as she turned away from the food.

Jia Li coughed into the napkin, and when she felt better, she turned back to the food only to see a glass of water in her sight.

"Thank you!" She said as she took the glass of water from Fu Hua.

After eating, Fu Hua started making small talks.

"Don't think too much that I brought you to a private room to eat, I don't have any other ideas, I just like my privacy when I want it. And besides, I thought you would feel more comfortable if it's just the two of us."

"Oh!" Jia Li mouthed.

"Since we are getting married soon, It will be good if we know a little about each other. Tell me a little about your childhood and why you chose to study Fashion and Designing." Fu Hua asked.

Jia Li was a bit surprised that he would ask to know about her childhood, but she still responded.

"Mmmm... my childhood was very simple, just me and my mum, and then my grandpa and his dog. I was the only child of my parents, so I received a lot of love, care, and attention from them. I was allowed to make my own choices like my course of study and my parents always supported me. I have always had a thing for good clothes and I liked to style myself and pick my dresses a lot when I was a child, so I got the inspiration to study what I liked."

"You liked to style yourself as a child, but I don't see you doing that anymore"

Glancing at her, Fu Hua continued, "What happened, why did you stop styling yourself?"

'What an awkward moment' Jia Li thought.

"I... I... as I grew up, I decided to focus more on designing than dolling myself up."

"Okay, good! Since we are going to get married, then I have to tell you this. I like women that look good in what they wear. I have a great taste for fashion, and I appreciate women that look good in clothes." Fu Hua revealed.

'Is he telling me that he would want me to dress well to his taste?' Jia Li thought, but too bad she couldn't voice it out.
