Two days later, it was the day for Jia Li to finally send her parents off. Jia Li cried her heart out as she performed the rites to her parents as their daughter.

After sending the last guests off, Jia Li felt a little faint and was about to fall when a strong pair of arms enveloped her and sent her to a warm embrace.

Jia Li felt her face hit the rocked hard chest and her nose, perceive the familiar scent that has been around her lately.

With a hand placed on his chest, she tried to glance at the cold face, but her face was pressed down immediately before she could take a look.

"Save your strength!." Fu Hua said in an authoritative tone as he frowned.

Jia Li instinctively stopped moving when she heard the tone of his voice. She relaxed a bit and inhaled the scent of the man.

Within a minute of being in his embrace, Jia Li felt drowsy and her eyes began to close, and slowly, she fell into a deep sleep.

Fu Hua who heard the girl's slow breathing, frowned as he lowered his head to take a look at her.

With his hand still pressed on the side of her head, and with the other one on the side, Jia Li sighed.

He had just relaxed when he heard the sounds of footsteps, so he slowly turned around with Jia Li in his arms.

Fu YingPei who came over was surprised at the sight. When he came over yesterday, he had noticed his brother was closer to Jia Li, unlike the first time they met.

He didn't think much about it and thought they were a bit close because of the situation, because knowing his brother, he wasn't one to get close to the opposite sex.

Now seeing them together like this, he was more than surprised, and he was about to speak when Fu Hua gave him a warning sign.

Fu YingPei shut his mouth that had opened. He had a grudge in his heart and still wanted to protest, but the next second, he saw his brother lift Jia Li in his arms.

It was when he saw Jia Li's tightly shut her eyes that he knew she was fast asleep. This was more surprising than he thought before.

'How could she fall asleep like that?' YingPei thought.

Fu Hua carried Jia Li in his arms and walked towards the living room with YingPei behind him.

Grandfather Fu and Fu Juan were in the living room with some other people when Fu Hua walked past them with Jia Li in his arms.

They were surprised and wanted to ask, but YingPei smiled and explained the situation to them.

"She is fine, she just fell asleep."

It only then did Grandfather Fu and the others retract their gaze.

Fu Juan sighed with pity in her heart. Just like Grandfather Fu, she had begun to like Jia Li since the first day she met her.

Li Huang and His mother were the last guests that left after Jia Li's Aunt left with her children. T

Today, she didn't dare to make a fuss or cause embarrassment because she was saving her face and trying to portray to be a good Aunt in other for her plans to be successful.

Also, she was scared of being thrown out by the soldiers standing guard in the house.

As for Li Huang and his mother, they couldn't stay long as they were uncomfortable with the Fu's presence.

There was a strong aura and a kind of presence they had, a kind of presence who was not to be trifled with.

Mrs. Li understood that this was a mourning period for Jia Li, so there was no point rushing anything, after all, she was still around.

Jia Li who fell into a deep sleep, slept till the sky had darkened.

She felt famished when she got out of bed, and luckily, the food had already been served.

There was only Grandfather Fu at the dining area, and then, her servant as well. The others had gone back to the Villa.

During dinner, Grandfather Fu was all smiles and kept putting food on Jia Li's plate.

"Eat this, it will help to replenish your strength"

Jia Li ate most of the side dishes he put on her plate. She didn't make a fuss, and she didn't say a word and only concentrate on eating.

Two days later, Grandfather Fu brings up the plan about taking Jia Li with him. Apart from Butler Lu, nobody was aware of his plans, including Fu Hua.

At first, when he brought it up to Jia Li, the latter refused blatantly. She gave so many reasons why she didn't want to leave with him, and the last one she gave, made the old man sad.

"Grandfather, you have done more than enough for me, and I don't want to be a burden to you."

Grandfather Fu said a few words that touched Jia Li's heart.

"Jia Li, don't ever feel like you are a burden to me. Since fate has brought us together, let's go with the flow. This old man will take good care of you. You don't have anybody to rely on, and it will not be good for a young lady to be all alone I jus type of environment. Follow me to get away from your grief. You are like a granddaughter to me, and I have more than enough resources to take care of you. This of man promises that you will never be short-changed."

Grandfather Fu said a bit more with a lonely expression on his face. He was inviting pity from Jia Li, even if his words were enough.

Sure enough, Jia Li said she would think about it and would give him a reply soon.

Since it was just Grandfather Fu and Butler Lu that were around, the house did not feel crowded like before.

A day ago, Grandfather allowed Fu Hua to go back home. He felt that he had made a lot of sacrifices these days since he left his company behind for his sake.

These days, Feng Alix has been calling him on the phone. Even after he told her he was currently running an errand for his grandfather, she kept disturbing him with calls and texts.

Feng Alix didn't like the fact that her boyfriend traveled and didn't tell her anything about it, and now, she has to be the one calling every day.

The worst part was that he snapped at her the last time she called.

Fu Hua was annoyed with her because of the calls and texts from her. He was already very busy with settling work matters over the phone plus the important role he played over here.

Fu Hua couldn't tolerate her disturbance anymore, so he snapped at her.

A day later, Jia Li was forced to give Grandfather Fu a response, because the old man kept receiving important calls which need attention.

She knew the reason he was still with her, was because he was still waiting for her response. She felt bad for stressing the old man and decided to give him a response soon.

Jia Li agreed to go to the Capital with Grandfather Fu.

As for her worries, Grandfather Fu said it was a piece of cake and that he would settle it.

"Jia Li you don't need to worry about your house, nobody will take over it. I will get somebody to keep an eye on it, so you don't have to worry about people like your Aunt doing anything."

"As for your school, I will arrange to have you transferred to the best Fashion and Designing school in the capital."

"Jia Li, don't worry about anything. As for the other matters, I will take care of it" Grandfather Fu promised.

Just as he promised, it was a matter of one phone call for Grandfather Fu to settle Jia Li's matter.

He settled the housing issue and started processing the transfer letter to the new college he picked for her.

In Jia Li's presence, Grandfather Fu settled some matters with Mr. Qin's lawyer. Everything her parents owned, was now in her name.

It was surprising to others that Mr. Qin had a lawyer, despite not being wealthy. But this was a good plan, at least nobody will try to snatch what does not belong to them.

When all these matters were settled, it was time for Jia Li to leave with Grandfather Fu.

Jia Li tidied up a little and before going to her parent's bedroom. She picked some important things there, like their handphones photo album, picture frames, etc

When she opened the drawer, her eyes caught the gold pendant that was resting there. (The people contracted to clean up the house after it was fixed, found the pendant under the bed where Mrs. Qin hid it and put it inside the drawer)

She took it out and glanced at it, before deciding to take it with her.

She remembered seeing her mother on rare occasions with the pendant, so she knew it belongs to her.
