Fu Hua seemed to want to protest, but he couldn't find the right words. It wasn't in his thought to be scared that his wife wouldn't make it to FJ through the competition, but there were odds, and he was starting to be scared that she wouldn't make it, and what her reaction would be.
With his grandfather's advice, Fu Hua deliberated on the matter and decided to let Jia Li have her way. Whether she emerges as one of the winners or not, she would definitely develop skills that will help her in the future.
From the Fu Villa, Fu Hua went straight to work. His attention was divided during work hours, and the only time he paid full attention was during a short meeting because of the competition.
It was agreed that Fu Hua wouldn't be directly involved with the competition, as he would only stay on the sidelines to approve of the various steps for the competition.
After work hours, Fu Hua drove straight to a car dealer company with his assistant, to pick a car for Jia Li.
Jia Li didn't know how to drive, but since she had plans of getting into FJ, she would need a ride of her own to get to work every day. He wouldn't want her to take a taxi 🚕 either, so getting a car for her would be the best option.
Fu Hua planned to send her to a professional driving school, for at least a month, depending on how fast she could learn. And after that, she would get a driving license and would be allowed to drive herself around.
He got her a low-key jeep, that at least wouldn't question her profile. Being able to afford that kind of car, wouldn't be a problem, because the money she has earned so far from working with FJ, was enough to fetch her that car.
Fu Hua selected a black Range Rover Jeep for her. He would have gone for other colors, but he didn't want any color that would draw attention to her, so he went for black.
Fu Hua had the company put a big red ribbon 🎀 on the car, to symbolize that it was a gift, before driving the car himself, while Zimo drove his car and followed behind him.
Jia Li was in the workshop with the little bun sitting comfortably in the baby carrier attached to her. Jia Li was currently staring at the painting of Fu Hua and the little bun, which she painted.
After staring at it for a moment, she sighed and turned to leave the workshop. She was studying the flaws in the painting to see how much they were.
She agreed that her talent in painting people was a bit rusted, but the painting still did make sense.
Along the hallway, Mei (Servant) came to inform her that Fu Hua was back.
"Oh!." That was Jia Li's careless response.
Mei did not say anything else and escorted her to her bedroom.
After releasing the little bun, Jia Li stacked some pillows behind the little girl, so she can lean on them.
Jasmine stared at her and pouted her lips as she was about to cry, but Jia Li shushed her.
With a finger on her lips, Jia Li shushed her. "Don't you dare! You made me carry you the whole day, and now my waist is hurting. Do you know how much you weigh?."
The little bun paused for a moment with her tactics. She was staring curiously at her mother. 'Are you saying I am fat?'
"Jasmine, you have troubled me enough for today, you wouldn't even let me put you down for a minute, please pity your poor mother, my back aches." Jia Li complained with a frown.
All Jia Li did today, was to carry the little bun in her embrace, since the little bun refused to be put down. It looks like today was one of the days that she wanted to be in her mother's embrace for long hours.
Jasmine licked her lower lip before bringing her fingers to her mouth to suck them, but Jia Li remove her fingers and was about to put her pacifier in her mouth when she started crying.
"You, are you kidding me right now?." Jia Li asked.
She has just given the little bun an opportunity to be disobedient.
"Madam, I will hold her for a while so you can get some rest," Mei said from the side.
Jia Li sighed and said, "Do you think she will let you? This will be the 3rd time you're trying for today."
Mei decided to give it a try, but the little one increased her volume, so Jia Li had no choice but to take her back in her arms.
No, that's not what the little bun wanted, she wanted her mother to carry and stand to her feet. When Jia Li discovered that was what she wanted because immediately she carried her to stand up, the little bun stopped crying, she was in disbelief.
In a mild tone, Jia Li scolded the little bun who didn't seem bothered at all, until Fu Hua knocked and opened the door.
On seeing him, Mei bowed and left the bedroom.
"How are you?." Fu Hua asked as he approached the mother and daughter.
Jia Li had a frown on her face, while the little bun looked ecstatic when she heard her father's voice. She instantly turned to glance at him with an excited gaze as she babbled.
Fu Hua touched the little bun's cheeks with a smile for a brief moment, before fixing his gaze on Jia Li.
"Are you still angry with me?." Fu Hua asked.
"Yes." Jia Li replied.
"That was quite direct." Fu Hua said in a low tone and let out a sigh of relief.
"I'm sorry about last night. I should have talked things out with you like an adult instead of arguing with you. I'm sorry about my actions last night, forgive me." Fu Hua apologized as he stared into her eyes.
Jia Li gazed directly into his eyeballs to search for his sincerity, and she found them.
Jia Li sighed and looked away from him.. She was waiting for him to talk about the next step, which concerned her involvement with the upcoming competition.
