"What are you working on?" Fu Hua asked with his gaze on Jia Li.
Jia Li's furrowed brows relaxed as she turned to glance at Fu Hua who held the stack of papers in his hands.
Jia Li glanced at the floor and saw he had picked all of them up.
"I'm working on an assignment." Jia Li replied.
Fu Hua heaved a sigh as he put the papers on the desk before saying to her. "Do you normally get rid of your old drafts?"
"Yeah, they have a lot of flaws, so I can't keep them." Jia Li replied.
"You should keep them, they may still be useful." As Fu Hua said that, he picked up a stapler from his drawer, and staple the papers together.
A smile appeared on Jia Li's face as she watched Fu Hua's actions.
After stapling the paper together, Fu Hua glanced over and caught her gazing at him with a smile.
"Why are you staring at me?" He asked as he felt she was acting weird.
Jia Li collected her gaze, but the smile remained on her face. She picked up her pencil ✏️ and continued to sketch as she replied.
"My mum used to pick up the paper drafts I crumbled and threw away, and then she would arrange them and put them on my desk and ask why I would discard such beautiful drafts. So, when I saw you do the same, I was reminded of it."
"I see... Can I see what you've got there?" Fu Hua asked as he became interested in seeing her drafts.
Jia Li passed the sketchbook to him.
"You were asked to design an outfit for spring?" Fu Hua asked the second he glanced at it.
"Yes. It's the last major assignment given to us, and we need to produce the dress." Jia Li revealed to him.
"You've got a nice draft here. Do you need help to complete it?" Fu Hua asked.
"No thank you!" Jia Li rejected his help without a second thought.
Glancing at her, Fu Hua understood that she wanted to do complete the design herself, and he didn't insist.
"Tell me when you're ready to start making the dress, I can help with the material recommendation." Fu Hua said as he passed the sketchbook back to her.
"Thank you!" Jia Li replied as she accepted her sketchbook from him.
"We have to move out tomorrow evening, so you have to gather your things before tomorrow morning. The servants will help you, and you only need to guide them." Fu Hua said to her.
"Do I need to pack up everything?" Jia Li asked.
"This is the Fu house, you don't need to pack everything since we can still return once in a while." Fu Hua replied before walking away into the inner room.
The next day after breakfast, Jia Li and Fu Hua left the house together. Fu Hua dropped her outside her college gate before driving to FJ.
Once they left, Grandfather Fu asked Butler Lu to gather his things as he was getting ready to leave for his trip as well.
When Fu Hee heard that the old man would be away for a few days, she became happy as she began to plot on how to deal with Jia Li, and if possible, cause her not to be able to bear children.
With Grandfather Fu being away for a few days, was the perfect opportunity for her to do anything to Jia Li and escape from it.
That morning after breakfast, Fu Hee left the house, and before she could return, Jia Li and Fu Hua's things had already been packed and moved to their new house, and Grandfather Fu left for his trip after he made sure things were right.
When Fu Hee came back, she didn't notice anything was wrong until dinner time when she was asking for Fu Hua.
Fu ChunHua smiled as she revealed everything to her.
"How can you be in this house and not know that your son and daughter-in-law have moved to their own house?"
Fu Hee was shocked by this revelation and didn't want to believe whatever Fu ChunHua said, so she turned to Fu YingPei to ask, "Is it true?"
Fu YingPei took his time to swallow the food in his mouth before replying.
"It's true. Brother told me about it a few days ago."
Fu Hee felt pain in her chest and quickly placed her hand on that side as her face was squeezed in an ugly way.
Fu ChunHua scoffed before asking, "Why are you so worked up? Your son has moved out to start a new family with his wife, shouldn't you be happy?"
"You crazy woman!" Fu Hee shouted as she hit the table with a fierce gaze directed at Fu ChunHua.
Everyone at the table was a bit surprised by Fu Hee's outburst. They knew she wasn't in support of Fu Hua's marriage to Jia Li, but her reaction had gone too far.
Fu ChunHua didn't get angry about Fu Hee calling her a crazy woman. Instead, she laughed before calling out to Butler Lu, who appeared in the living room once he heard her calling for him.
"Butler Lu, did you hear and see what happened?" Fu ChunHua asked with a smile.
"Yes." Butler Lu replied as he walked out to stand before them.
Just like Fu Hee was very surprised to see Butler Lu, the rest were also surprised.
"Good! You know, you should do a good job by making sure to report exactly what you saw and heard to Father when he returns." Fu ChunHua instructed with her gaze on him.
"Yes. " Butler Lu replied before walking away, and then Fu ChunHua turned to glance at Fu Hee with a smirk.
Fu Hee glared at her angrily as she asked, "Did you arrange these?"
"How could I? I don't have such rights to command Butler Lu." Fu ChunHua replied as she picked up her cutlery and began to eat.
"Are you saying that Father arranged this?" Fu Hee asked with a twisted facial expression.
