Chapter 103: Growing Closer
Yuna looked around the room and noticed that everyone was staring at her. She chuckled a little and started speaking.
“No need to worry. Naruto will survive Inoichi’s wrath without a problem…probably.”
Ino mother chuckled when she heard that.
“Naruto will be alright. I guess Inoichi just wants to test Naruto’s strength and won’t go too far…probably.”
Seeing that Yuna and her mother both weren’t entirely certain that nothing would happen, Ino couldn’t help but feel nervous.
“Maybe I should follow them? I am sure I can stop dad from doing anything stupid.”
Yuna, however, waived Ino’s suggestion away with her hand.
“Don’t bother. Naruto can handle himself. More importantly…”
Yuna’s expression became serious as she looked at Ino and Haku. The duo immediately straightened their backs when Yuna’s gaze landed on them.
“The kind of relationship you have committed yourselves to isn’t for everyone. I have no doubts that problems will occur. Problems that don’t appear in a one-on-one relationship. Talk with each other as soon as possible if problems pop up. You can also talk with me if you want advice or suggestions.”
Ino and Haku both nodded their heads in understanding. They already expected that there would be some trouble and were naturally happy that Yuna offered them some help. Both of them could see that the relationship between Yuna, Hinata, and Anko was rather harmonious except for a few little quarrels which Yuna usually resolved rather effortlessly.
“Whether your relationship with Naruto will last or not isn’t certain either. Feelings can change after all. It is not impossible that you will break up one day and if you do, that is fine as well. Stuff like that happens.
If, however, you want to take advantage of Naruto’s feelings for you and hurt him in the process…”
Overwhelming pressure descended onto Ino and Haku almost causing them to suffocate while an insane glint appeared in Yuna’s eyes.
“…I will tear you to shreds! Understood?”
Although Ino and Haku could barely move, they still managed to nod in confirmation. As soon as they did, the pressure vanished and a happy smile appeared on Yuna’s face.
“Haha, it’s good that you understand.”
Ino and Haku slumped into the couch when the pressure on them vanished. They couldn’t help but be slightly fearful after they felt that pressure. They knew that Yuna was rather protective of Naruto, but didn’t think it was to this degree. They certainly didn’t want to become Yuna’s enemies after what they just felt.
A few moments later, Mika emptied her teacup and stood up.
“I guess I should leave now. I still need to catch my husband after all. Ino, are you coming with me?”
Ino thought for a moment and then shook her head.
“I will be returning home later today. I still want to talk with Naruto.”
After she said that, a light pink blush appeared on her face and Mika nodded in understanding.
“Alright, see you later Ino. Oh, and be sure to use protection.”
“Mom!”
“Haha, have fun, Ino.”
“MOM!!!”
After watching Mika leave the house, Yuna’s eyes landed on Jiraiya, who was still furiously scribbling away on a piece of paper.
“Yo, old pervert. Can you hear me?”
Jiraiya, however, showed no reaction at all. He was still writing while occasionally letting out laughter that didn’t sound like a sound a human could produce.
‘Guess I have to give my seals another run.’
Yuna was just about to activate her seals when Jiraiya explosively stood up and started to scan his surroundings.
‘At least he has good instincts.’
“What’s wrong, old pervert?”
“I felt like something was about to attack m…WAIT! Don’t call me old! I am still young, you know!”
“Fine, whatever. Why did you come here, young pervert?”
Jiraiya looked around the room and noticed that Naruto was gone.
“Damn, I wanted to talk to Naruto, but I kinda didn’t notice him leave, because I was… busy.”
Yuna shrugged her shoulders.
“Do you want me to give him a message?”
“No it’s fine, I will look for him myself.”
“Alright, just follow Inoichi’s angry yells. They should be rather easy to detect.”
Although Jiraiya wasn’t entirely sure what Yuna meant by that, he still nodded his head and left the house.
After Yuna finished her tea, she stood up as well.
“Well, guess the fun is over for now. Hinata, Anko, could you come upstairs with me? There is something important I want to talk about.”
Seeing that Yuna had a serious look on her face, they both nodded their head in agreement and stood up as well.
“Well, Ino, Haku, see you later. I suggest you talk about your new relationship since you currently have some free time. Everything must feel really weird to you right now, but that’s normal. Tell each other your thoughts. Listen to the other person properly and get to know each other on a deeper level. The only way for a harem to work is for each member of it to have at least a decent relationship with every other member. Although you are already friends, I guarantee you that things will feel different from now on. Good luck and take good care of my little brother.”
Yuna went upstairs, followed by Hinata and Anko, leaving a dumbfounded Ino and Haku behind.
“Seems like Yuna put quite a bit of thought into this, probably more than we did, Haku.”
“That is probably true. Now that Yuna-sama has spelled it out for us it feels like we were rather hasty with our decision. Both of us accepted on the spur of the moment without giving it any thought.”
“Oh? Are you backing down? I don’t mind you know? If you are backing out now, I will have Naruto all for myself, after all.”
Haku chuckled when she heard that.
“Of course not. Yuna-sama gave us advice on how to handle the situation, so we will be fine. Besides, I don’t want to give up on Naruto. I can’t even imagine what my life would be like if I had to let go of his sunshine-like smile and his innocent blue eyes.”
“*Sigh* I know what you mean. I really want to hit my younger self that somehow thought that Sasuke’s brooding face was cool.”
Haku raised her eyebrows at that.
“Sasuke? As in, Sasuke Uchiha? You had a crush on him?”
Ino couldn’t help but groan when she realized that she had just exposed a secret to Haku that she would have rather taken to her grave. Then, however, she remembered Yuna’s words and took a big breath.
“I will tell you about it, but in return, you have to tell me an embarrassing story about yourself as well.”
Haku pondered about it for a moment and then nodded her head with a smirk.
“I accept, but I don’t think I have anything that compares to that in embarrassment.”
Although Ino groaned again, she still started to tell Haku how she met Sasuke, how she developed her crush, and how her delusions were broken by Yuna.
After Ino was finished with her story, Haku started telling her own, which was promptly followed by something else Ino went through.
Unbeknownst to Naruto, due to Yuna’s advice, his little harem was growing closer with each other by the minute.
