Chapter 181: Chatting in Kirigakure
For a moment, Yuna felt like she heard someone yelling her name in anger, but seconds later, she decided that she must have just imagined it.
‘I don’t think there is any reason for someone to be angry at me, so it must have been my imagination.’
[You do realize that you just left Konoha without permission to intervene in a rebellion of a foreign country just because you want to fight the country’s leader, right?]
‘…’
[…]
‘Hehe, oops.’
[*Sigh*]
Mei Terumi, meanwhile, could only groan when she heard Yuna happily confirming Zabuza’s outrageous introduction. She had, of course, heard about Yuna. The incident during the chunin exam in Konoha wasn’t a secret, so it was easy to gather information about what had happened on that day and what Yuna was supposed to be capable of.
Well, if that was all Mei had heard about Yuna, she would just surround her and capture her, but what happened a while later wasn’t a secret either. A massive snowstorm appearing in the outskirts of Konoha is not something that can be hidden and neither could the person responsible.
Although Mei didn’t know what exactly Yuna was capable of, she would rather not have her entire army camp be covered by a snowstorm. Additionally, having superior numbers was almost useless against a Jinchuuriki, especially when the person was already in the middle of their army. So, for now, she could only take a deep breath, calm down and see where this will go. Before she could speak, however, Zabuza spoke up again.
“How did you get here, Yuna? Did you follow us all the way here?”
Mei nodded in approval when she heard Zabuza’s question. That was also something she wanted to know. Zabuza was one of the world’s best assassins, while Ao had a Byakugan. It should be almost impossible to follow them for such a long time without being noticed.
Yuna, however, only took out a pure white Kunai that had four spikes as a guard, which made it look like a huge snowflake.
“Well, I simply used the [Flying Thunder God Seal]. I have better things to do than to stalk a bunch of grown men for a week. If I have to stalk someone, I would prefer it to be a woman, hehe.”
Mei decided to ignore Yuna’s second sentence and instead focused on the first one. She heard rumors of Yuna using the [Flying Thunder God Seal] during the chunin exam but had always dismissed it as nonsense. After all, this was just the kind of rumor that could protect Konoha after they were weakened after the invasion. A new clan emerging with a powerful leader at the top was always a good deterrent. Especially when that leader was the child of the fourth Hokage and even knew his signature jutsu. Now, however, it seemed that Mei had to change her thoughts about that. Additionally, this made removing Yuna with force even less feasible, since she could just teleport in and out whenever she wanted. For now, Mei could only hope that Yuna wouldn’t cause too much chaos.
Zabuza, meanwhile, finished digesting Yuna’s answer and realized something else.
“WAIT! Did you put one of your seals on me?!”
Yuna chuckled a little when she heard that, before shaking her head in denial.
“Of course, not…I put it on Ao.”
“WHAT!? ON ME!? WHEN!?”
Ao was, naturally, outraged when he heard that Yuna put a seal on him that allowed her to teleport to him at any time. This turned him into a huge risk for Kirigakure and the Land of Water in general since it, made him into an easy access point for Yuna to enter the Land of Water whenever she wanted. In fact, this was exactly what she did a few minutes ago.
“Haha, what do you mean by “when”? Have you forgotten that Hinata was holding a sword to your neck after you attempted to sneak into my Uzumaki compound? She had more than enough time to sneak a seal onto you.”
That, of course, wasn’t exactly the truth. Although Hinata indeed had enough time to do so, at that point in time there was no reason to do it. As for where the seal on Ao came from, Yuna had plenty of time to sneak in a few during their discussion with Tsunade.
Seeing the people, who were still surrounding her, glaring at her, Yuna chuckled a little.
“Now, now, calm down. No need to get all antsy. How about I remove it from you. I only needed it to travel here, after all.”
Ao’s eye showed surprise when Yuna offered him to remove the seal and he immediately nodded his head. Living, while knowing that Yuna could pop-up next to him at any moment would be too stressful for him. Zabuza, meanwhile, was looking at Yuna with suspicion. He didn’t believe for even a second that Yuna would actually remove the seal from Ao.
Moments later, however, Yuna’s fingers started glowing, and after drawing seals for a short moment, a snowflake-shaped seal appeared on Ao’s right ankle, before shattering like glass.
“See? All gone. No need to fuss over it, anymore.”
‘Especially, since I have put another one on his other ankle.’
[Might as well put one on the woman with long brown hair, she seems to be the leader here.]
‘Haha, you know me so well, Kurama. That’s Mei Terumi and I am already thinking about a good way to do it.’
[Guess I shouldn’t be surprised.]
Mei, meanwhile, heaved a sigh of relief when she saw Yuna removing the seal from Ao. In her opinion, this at least showed that Yuna didn’t have any bad intentions towards them. If Yuna was genuinely interested in joining their side in this war, it could be a huge boon, so she decided to be a bit more welcoming towards her. So, she stepped forward, past the people that tried to stop her, and came to a halt just a short distance away from Yuna, while a kind smile appeared on her face.
“I am Mei Terumi; the leader of this army and I welcome you in the Land of Water.”
A similar smile appeared on Yuna’s face as she stretched out her hand for a handshake with Mei.
“Haha, thanks for the warm welcome, and, as already mentioned, I am Yuna Uzumaki.”
Seeing the friendly smile on Yuna’s face, Mei’s impression of her immediately improved a little, but just as she was about to shake Yuna’s hand, Zabuza stepped in between them, while glaring at Yuna.
“I recommend not shaking Yuna’s hand.”
Seeing Zabuza glaring at her, Yuna at first looked at him in confusion, but moments later, realization could be seen on her face, and then she started speaking with a wry smile on her face.
“You think I will sneak a seal on her while we shake hands? Do you really think I am that shameless?”
“Yes.”
“””””…”””””
[PFAHAHAHA, HE GOT YOU!!!]
‘That damn Zabuza. He had better prepare himself for what will happen to him after we return to Konoha.’
Despite her aggressive thoughts, a sad smile appeared on Yuna’s face as she shrugged her shoulders.
“Haha, I guess there will be no handshake, then.”
Seeing Yuna getting a little depressed by Zabuza’s accusations, Mei instantly glared at him but he completely ignored her glares.
‘How unreasonable. I saved her from a bad fate and all I get in return is a glare. Well, she doesn’t know Yuna yet, so it can’t be helped.’
