Moments after killing the scorpion monster, Yuna softly landed on the ground and started glaring at Chouji and Kiba, who awkwardly averted their eyes.
Before Yuna could say anything, more jonin appeared from a separate building that was exclusive to them.
“What happened here? Genin are not supposed to leave their building at night.”
Before Chouji and Kiba could say anything, Yuna stepped forwards while chuckling a little.
“I am not a genin. I’m Yuna Uzumaki, one of the proctors. This scorpion thing was kicking up a fuss, so I got rid of it. These two probably got attracted by the noise.”
Although Chouji and Kiba didn’t understand why Yuna was helping them, they still obediently nodded their heads.
The jonin from Suna were still somewhat doubtful about Yuna’s claim of being a proctor, but when she got closer to them to reveal her face, all of them backed off instantly, causing Yuna to chuckle a little.
‘Just like always; the strong are respected, and the strongest are feared. Or that is at least the case when you are from a different country.’
While the other jonin were leaving again, Yuna’s gaze returned to Chouji and Kiba.
“You two should go back as well. Although I covered for you since it wouldn’t have any consequences for me, I won’t do it again.”
Although the duo was thankful for what Yuna did, she quickly noticed that there was still something that troubled Chouji. Yuna casually waved her hand, and moments later, Chouji felt something appear in one of his pockets.
“Get lost already, you two.”
At first, Chouji was confused by what something this thin and light could do to satiate his hunger, but moments later, he realized that Yuna was a well-known sealmaster.
A thankful expression appeared on Chouji’s face before he dragged Kiba, who wasn’t entirely sure what just happened, away.
‘Well, I probably shouldn’t help him like that, but I can’t help myself but like the Akimichi clan. In fact, Konoha has quite a lot of likable clans. Even the Aburame clan who rears insects in their bodies aren’t that bad. Even Konoha’s Uchiha clan calmed down a lot in the recent years.’
[I am pretty sure the reason for the Uchiha clan becoming more bearable is that most of them got wiped out, while the remaining ones no longer live in Konoha.]
‘Hehe, oops.’
Moments later, Fuu landed next to Yuna with a pout on her face.
“Every time you leave to have some fun, you are done before I arrive. Next time take me with you.”
“Okay, okay, stop pouting. How about we two go and meet another Jinchuuriki together?”
“Oh? Which one?”
“The current Kazekage, Gaara.”
“The Kazekage is a Jinchuuriki!?”
‘…Seriously, am I the only one who bothers to gather information about noteworthy people?’
[That seems to be the case. Well, she appears to be somewhat sheltered, so who knows.]
“Yes, he is the Jinchuuriki of the Ichibi. Well, are you interest in a little Jinchuuriki get-together, Gaara?”
Yuna’s gaze landed on a certain point in the distance, and just when Fuu was about to ask Yuna if she wanted to act cool, just then, a single eye came floating towards the duo.
When the eye got closer to them, sand started rising, and a short while later, a sand clone of Gaara appeared in front of them and started talking.
“I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that you noticed my [Sand Eye], Yuna.”
Gaara’s sand clone looked at the duo, and after a short while of pondering, he shrugged his shoulders.
“Sure, let’s meet. So far, I have never had the chance to speak with fellow Jinchuuriki properly. I guess this is a good opportunity.”
Fuu’s face immediately lit up when she heard Gaara’s words.
“Haha, is this another chance to make a friend!?”
Yuna didn’t say anything and followed Gaara’s clone with a wry smile on her face.
A few minutes later, they saw another Gaara appearing in the distance. The shinobi from Suna would probably go berserk if they heard that their Kazekage was meeting with not one but two other Jinchuuriki; that is why Gaara decided to meet them outside the village.
Although it was still somewhat risky meeting them on his own, Gaara was confident that he could defend himself as long as they were inside the desert. Although he doubted that he could win, he at least thought that he could get away. There were a lot of things he could do with infinite sand, after all.
Yuna would laugh out loud if she could hear Gaara’s thoughts. After all, if she were to fight him seriously, the desert around them would be turned into a frozen tundra the moment the fight started so that the only sand Gaara could use would be the one he was carrying around on his back.
Moments later, the trio met. While Gaara had a stiff expression on his face, Fuu had a broad, and Yuna a relaxed smile on their faces.
“Nice to see that you are more stable now, Gaara. How was your time with Shukaku?”
Gaara smiled wryly before nodding his head in acknowledgment.
“Much better. After my battle with Naruto, he improved my seal to stop Shukaku from messing with me while I am asleep.”
Yuna nodded her head and noticed that although Gaara still had dark rings under his eyes, they were now merely painted on with make-up instead of being actual signs of sleep deprivation.
“Ohh, that is good. So, how have you two been getting along with your Bijuu?”
This question caused Gaara and Fuu to tilt their head in confusion. Getting along? Neither of them even considered getting along with their respective Bijuu.
Yuna was a little surprised when not even Fuu had tried to talk with the Nanabi, but after thinking about it for a while, it somewhat made sense.
‘She probably doesn’t even know how to contact the Nanabi, so she obviously didn’t even try. Considering what you told me about the Nanabi’s…Chomei’s, personality, her and Fuu should get along rather well.’
[Well, I haven’t met Chomei for quite a while, but as far as I know, she always had a rather happy-go-lucky personality, which should match Fuu well.]
Yuna nodded her head at Kurama’s words, and moments later, a smirk appeared on her face.
“Well, it appears that you never had a proper talk with them, so how about we take a look?”
Fuu and Gaara instinctively took a step back when they saw Yuna’s smile and heard her question, but it was already too late.
Before they could understand the situation, two chains burst out of Yuna and pierced into Fuu and Gaara’s stomach, or to be more precise, into their seals, catching them completely off-guard.
While Fuu’s thoughts completely froze up when Yuna suddenly attacked her, Gaara managed to chuckle at his naïvety before losing consciousness.
‘As long as I have enough sand, I can escape, huh? What a joke. I couldn’t even see her attack.’
