Chapter 352: Yet another Story of the Past part 4
Okay, I will be honest with you guys, I have just got my third Covid shot, and I am not confident about the quality of this chapter. Since I got the shot, I feel a little off.

Kazumi looked at the battle between the two people who might as well have been gods from her point of view in awe. Despite only serving Yuna for a little more than a month, she thought that she had a pretty good grasp of Yuna’s strength by now, but she was utterly wrong.
In fact, even Kazumi had no clue how she managed to survive up until now despite the devastation the sect compound has experienced so far. After all, even the sect’s patriarch, who happily boasted that he could kill Yuna by himself, was slaughtered like a harmless chicken. His supposedly invincible bloodline as the grandson of the ancestor and his peerless fighting style he inherited from his father didn’t even allow him to last for more than five exchanges before his head was separated from his body.
Meanwhile, gigantic ice pillars were constantly created and pierced towards Yuna’s enemy, who either dodged them altogether or redirected them with significant amounts of skill. This was probably the first time Yuna ever fought someone who she genuinely acknowledged as more skillful as her. She could easily tell that the old man in front of her wasn’t just some flower that was raised inside a glasshouse but someone who crawled his way all the way to the top with his own skills.
Yuna’s face twisted in glee as she deflected yet another incredible complex attack simply due to her having more raw power and speed at her disposal. Every time the old man managed to close the distance between them was a life and death situation for Yuna, which usually would make someone try everything they have to keep the enemy away from them but…
“HAHAHA, THIS IS SO EXHILARATING!!!”
She had never felt this thrilled by a fight before. She could feel her blood pumping like crazy; adrenaline was rushing through her body at an unprecedented pace. She could barely hear her own words due to how loud the beating of her heart felt to her.
“YOU STILL HAVE MORE TO SHOW ME, DON’T YOU!? THROW IT AT ME!!! SHOW ME EVERYTHING YOU HAVE!!! LET US GRIND EACH OTHER INTO DUST UNTIL NOTHING REMAINS OF US!!!”
Yuna didn’t even perceive it, but while she was talking, ice started covering her whole body and formed an ice armor around her, while the temperature in the arena was dropping at a ridiculous rate.
The more the old ancestor fought Yuna, the more he understood just what kind of calamity came upon his sect. Calling Yuna a mere genius would be a grave insult to her as even while he was fighting her with over one thousand years of combat experience, she was slowly catching up to him.
What made all of that even worse was that Yuna herself apparently didn’t even notice any of that. She was entirely lost in the joy of the battle to the death as all of her abilities were constantly increasing every time she was pushed into a corner.
The old ancestor took a deep breath to steady his emotions, and moments later, searing white flames burst out of his body, fortifying his domain. Right now, it was the first time he did not feel any pressure from Yuna’s own domain.
“Very well, I acknowledge you as the monster you are. You are a calamity, and as such, I will now lay down my life to kill you. You should be proud of yourself, for this is the first and the last time the world will ever see my next technique.”
Yuna’s battle intent burst forth even stronger when she heard the ancestor’s words as her face twisted in nothing but glee and insanity.
“YES!!! THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT!!! YOU COULD DO IT, COULDN’T YOU!? YOU COULD POSSIBLE KILL ME, RIGHT!? COME!!! GIVE IT YOUR BEST SHOT!!!”
Blood started flowing out of the ancestor’s mouth as he burned what still remained of his life. The white flames that previously burst out of his body changed color and became blood-red, while the old ancestor started aging visibly.
“Very well, if you can withstand this move, then you can consider yourself the strongest being on this planet.”
The blood-red flames started moving and turned into a massive tiger with gigantic burning wings.
“WITNESS THIS ANCESTOR’S FINAL MOVE: [FLAME TIGER STYLE: FINAL MOVE: BURNING THE HEAVENS]!!!”
The tiger crouched town and jumped towards Yuna, and with hit came a gigantic wave of angry, blood-red, burning flames.
Yuna’s eye’s shone with excitement when she saw that attack as she lifted her sword above her head, causing all the ice and snow in the surroundings to gather at the tip of her sword.
“HAHAHA, A MOVE THAT CAN ACTUALLY KILL ME!? THAT MAKES ME EVEN MORE EXCITED!!!”
By now, a massive ball of ice and snow had gathered at the tip of Yuna’s blade, and just as the burning tiger was about to reach Yuna, she slashed down her sword.
“[ICE SWORD STYLE: SEVERING]”
She slashed down her sword, resulting in all the gathered ice and snow forming a massive ice blade that collided with the approaching tiger.
When the two attacks collided, the surrounding area was obliterated as extreme cold and extreme heat clashed with each other.
At first, it appeared like the sword slash, and the tiger were of equal strength, but while the source of the tiger’s power was the ancestors diminishing life force, the source of the sword strikes power was Yuna’s understanding of ice and how much ice was at her disposal.
Since the two combatants were literally fighting inside a dome of ice, Yuna’s attack started slowly but surely overpowering the ancestor’s attack. After around half a minute of clashing against each other, the tiger was cut into two halves, resulting in Yuna’s sword slash advancing forward, slicing the already dying ancestor in two halves.
Just before Yuna’s attack could bisect him, a mirthful smile appeared on his face as he muttered his last word.
“Monster…”
When Yuna’s attack was over, she staggered a little and fell on her knees, but despite that…
“FUUUN~ SO MUCH FUUUUUUN~!!!”
… Her mood was at an all-time high.
It took some time for her to soothe the adrenaline raging through her body and calm her mind enough to think things through properly, but when she did, she closed her eyes and spread her senses.
Moments later, she found what she was looking for as a deranged smile appeared on her face.
“I found you, Kazumi~”
