Chapter 272: The Three Coffins
The first coffin opened, and a middle-aged woman with long black hair, pure white skin, and black eyes stepped out of it.
Just like with Hinata and Naruto, Yuna forc…*cough* convinced Anko to read up on notable past and present figures and the woman who Orochimaru just called is one of those figures.
Seeing the helpless expression on Anko’s face, Orochimaru couldn’t help but chuckle in glee.
“Kukuku, it seems like you already know her, but let me introduce her anyway. Fuyu Yuki. She was the last known matriarch of the Yuki clan and is known as the strongest ice style user the clan had ever seen. If you don’t know how to counter a jutsu, then just use the same with a higher output.”
Yes, that was precisely what Anko feard Orochimaru would think when he summoned her. She did not feel helpless about winning the fight against Orochimaru but about her chances of actually fighting him.
Although Yuna rarely showed it, she could be rather prideful, so there was a genuine chance that Yuna would get angry at Orochimaru for implying that a woman who died in her forties could surpass her in the use of ice.
Anko glanced at Yuna and sighed in relief when she only had an amused smile on her face.
Fuyu Yuki, meanwhile, had no clue what was going on. As far as she knew, she was dead, so it made very little sense to her to be in the land of the living again. Additionally, none of the people present looked like they were from her clan, but despite that, the weirdo behind her claimed that she was supposed to fight someone who could use ice style as well.
Moments later, the second coffin opened, and a huge man with dark skin, white hair, and a deep scar on his chest came out of it.
“What is the meaning of this!”
Unlike Fuyu Yuki, he was never someone who bothered concealing his thoughts, so he immediately let everybody know about being annoyed.
“Kukuku, welcome back in the world of the living Third Raikage-dono. Your incredible strength, speed, and invincible body will help me defeat the one who has been a thorn in my eyes for a while now.”
The Third Raikage frowned when he heard Orochimaru’s words and looked at the two enemies he was supposed to fight, and moments later, a disdainful sneer appeared on his face.
“What kind of pussy are you? You can’t even defeat two tiny wom…”
Before he could finish speaking, he met Yuna’s eyes and choked on his own words. She was currently looking at him like he was an incredibly delicious-looking piece of meat, so he couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable when he met her eyes.
The moment Yuna saw the Third Raikage stepping out of the second coffin, she couldn’t help but get excited. He was someone who could go toe to toe with the Hachibi, after all. Someone like that should be incredibly entertaining to fight against.
The last coffin opened a short moment later, and a middle-aged woman gracefully stepped out of it. She had black eyes, long, bright red hair, and a hair bun on both sides of her head that each had a seal tag hanging out of it and was radiating a royal aura.
The moment Yuna saw the woman, she couldn’t help but facepalm while Anko’s mouth gaped open.
“Seriously, Orochimaru, what are you even doing? Fuyu Yuki is a good choice from your point of view; I can understand that much. The Third Raikage is an excellent choice, but what were you thinking when choosing the third person? Off the top of my head, I can’t think of a single person who would have been a worse choice to use the Edo Tensei on.”
“Kukuku, just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean that it is a bad choice. Although you already know her, let me introduce her anyway. This is Mito Senj…”
*SMACK* *BOOM*
Before Orochimaru could finish the introduction, a chain burst out of the body of the third person he summoned, pierced him through his right shoulder, and pint him to a wall.
“Did you just call me from the Pure Land by using the Edo Tensei that Tobirama brat created? Do you really think that would work on an Uzumaki?”
While Anko and the other two summons looked at the current scene in bewilderment, Yuna could only sigh while shaking her head.
“The Uzumaki clan has a close connection with the Shinigami, so most of them have a strong resistance against stuff like the Edo Tensei.”
“Additionally, the Uzumaki clan members have unparalleled talent in seals, and although the Edo Tensei doesn’t exactly count as a seal, seals are certainly a part of it. So, summoning someone whose knowledge of seals is significantly higher than yours is a terrible idea, but instead of calling someone whose skill is considerably higher than yours, you called for someone whose skill is in a completely different dimension.”
“Finally, to put the crown on your stupidity, you summoned Mito Senju, who was undoubtedly asked for advice in regards to the creation of the Edo Tensei by Tobirama.”
When Yuna finished her tirade, Anko and Fuyu’s eyes showed understanding, while the Third Raigake seemed to have stopped listening from the start. Well, he was known for his strong body and not his sharp mind, after all.
On the other hand, Mito looked at Yuna with interest and started speaking to her with a calm and refined voice.
“You seem to be quite knowledgable and an Uzumaki to boot. Could you tell me what happened to the Uzumaki clan after my death? On my death bed, the only living member I knew about was Kushina.”
“Kushina was my mother, but she died shortly after my birth. I reestablished the Uzumaki clan a few years ago, and I’m pretty sure I managed to collect most of the family members that were scattered all over the elemental nation by now. We currently have around 200 people in total.”
Although Mito was relieved that the Uzumaki clan didn’t become extinct, she couldn’t help but look at Yuna in bewilderment when she heard her words. Although her calm aura was slipping away a little, it took her only a short time to regain it.
“You reestablished it? You appear to be only around 15 years old?”
“Mhh? Oh yeah, did it when I was 13. No big deal. Anyway, since reestablishing it in the Land of Whirlpools was out of the question, I chose Konoha as our main base, and by now, we have become its strongest clan.”
“Konoha!? That was not a good choice. They pretended to be our allies, but when the situation became dangerous, they abandoned us without a moment of hesitation! Konoha can not be trusted!”
Although Mito noticed that the Uzumaki clan’s typical brashness slipped out a little when finished speaking, there were more important matters than keeping once dignity as an elder right now.
When Yuna heard Mito’s concerns, a face-splitting grin appeared on her face that sent chills through Mito’s spine.
“Hehe, do you think I am an idiot? Three people were responsible for preventing information about the attack against the Uzumaki clan from reaching Konoha in time. Danzo Shimura and his Root organization of about 80 shinobi, Homura Mitokado an Elder of Konoha, and Koharu Utatane, another Elder of Konoha.”
“I killed Danzo and every single member of his organization a few months after I reestablished the clan while managing to have him branded as a traitor as well. Although the two Elders are still alive, they are currently imprisoned with a life sentence due to stealing funds, blackmail, and a few other things. Naturally, I’m the one responsible for that as well.”
While Anko only chuckled a little when she heard Yuna’s story and Orochimaru was still attempting and failing to get rid of Mito’s [Adamantine Sealing Chains], Fuyu and the Third Raikage looked at her in complete bewilderment. After all, they simply couldn’t imagine how a thirteen-year-old had the capabilities of uprooting multiple higher-ups inside a village all by herself.
Mito Senju, however…
“HAHAHA!!! VERY GOOD, YOU KNOW!!! FINALLY, MY UZUMAKI CLAN GOT THE REVENGE IT DESERVED, YOU KNOW!!! THAT WILL TEACH THOSE HIGH-STRUNG BASTARDS NOT TO MESS WITH US, YOU KNOW!!!”
Well, in conclusion: The image of a dignified elder she tried to maintain was annihilated.
