Chapter 381: Why should I give a shit about your life goals?
“*Moan* Y-Yuna, n-not now, he is about to wake up.”
“Hehe, come on, Hinata, just a little bit.”
“Y-Yuna, d-don’t…”
Sasuke abruptly opened his eyes while his head snapped towards where he could hear two voices coming from. Unfortunately, his whole body was still sore from overusing the Susanoo, so such an abrupt movement caused him quite some pain.
Moments later, he managed to focus his eyes on the source of the voices, causing an ugly expression to appear on his face.
Unlike what the voice sounded like, Hinata was currently sitting on a couch next to Anko while Yuna stood behind her with her hands on Hinata’s shoulders.
Yuna was currently massaging Hinata’s shoulders; Hinata bit into her fist to prevent any noise coming out of her mouth, while Anko looked at the scene with a smirk on her face.
Naturally, Yuna noticed Sasuke’s abrupt motion, which caused her to chuckle in amusement.
“Hehe, what’s wrong, Sasuke? Were you hoping to see something else?”
A mild blush appeared on Sasuke’s face as the desire to attack Yuna surfaced from the back of his mind again.
However, unlike the previous two times, it was squashed instantly by overwhelming fear.
‘I actually was defeated just like that. Despite awakening the next stage of my Sharingan and even overusing its power, I lost. Hell, as far as I could tell, she didn’t even use the Kyubi’s chakra. How is that possible?’
Sasuke gritted his teeth in anger and frustration when he realized just how far the power gap between the two was.
‘Damnit, I’m unwilling! I don’t want to give up on my revenge! However, if I try again…’
A shiver went through Sasuke’s body when he remembered the smile Yuna had on her face at the end of their fight.
‘Shit! She looked at me like I was just some random prey she had fun hunting. Is that really a facial expression a human should have?’
Sasuke’s anger spiked when he remembered how Yuna didn’t even treat him as a threat, but yet again, it was instantly crushed due to something else Yuna said.
‘Two free attempts, huh? Damnit, if I didn’t attack her the moment I saw her, I still would have one left. Shit, what am I talking about? Why am I already thinking as if I would lose the next time we fought? As soon as I regain my strength, I will fight and kill her.’
The sensation of Yuna’s blade cutting him in half vertically washed over Sasuke, causing him to tremble in fear.
‘R-Right, my body is really damaged, so it can’t be helped that it will take me a long time to get back to my peak strength. N-Nothing I can do about that.’
“D-Damnit, mhh~ Y-Yuna, s-stop it mhh~”
“COULD YOU STOP FLIRTING IN FRONT OF ME!?”
As soon as Sasuke heard Hinata continue moaning while wiggling und Yuna’s touch, he snapped and threw a nearby glass at Yuna, who casually caught it in mid-air.
“Hehe, I won’t count this as an attack since it’s only natural to be jealous of this great one.”
Meanwhile, Hinata used the short moment in which Yuna was distracted and swiftly moved her hands to pinch both of Yuna’s simultaneously, forcing her to stop the massage while fake-exclaiming in pain.
Sasuke pondered whether he should throw another glass at the still flirting duo or upgrade his weapon of choice to something sharper, but before he could come to a decision, Yuna and Hinata stopped their antics and Yuna sat down between Hinata and Anko, casually hugging the duo’s waists.
“Anyway, now that the first part of the conversation is over, and you got your ass kic…*cough* I mean your chance to fight me, let’s dive straight into the next part of the conversation.”
Instead of answering, an annoyed scowl appeared on Sasuke’s face, which Yuna swiftly interpreted as a go-ahead.
“Well, I still promised Itachi that I would mani…*cough* convince you not to seek revenge against Konoha for what they forced Itachi to do.”
Sasuke felt anger flooding his body when he remembered the information he had read in the scroll Yuna gave him.
“I will get my revenge! It doesn’t matter what you say! I will kill every single person that was responsible for what happened to my big brother!”
Yuna rolled her eyes at Sasuke’s anger management issues before she leisurely waved Sasuke’s words away.
“Mah, calm down for now. I never said that I would prevent you from taking revenge, did I?”
Sasuke was genuinely taken aback by Yuna’s words. His life goal has been revenge for a long time now, and many people discouraged him from following a goal like that. Surprisingly, Yuna seemed to be of a different mind.
“So you don’t want to stop me? You won’t say superficial words like ‘living for the sake of revenge is wrong’ or ‘you can’t live just for revenge and need other goals’. You are fine with me continuing my path of vengeance?”
Yuna couldn’t help but chuckle in amusement when she heard Sasuke’s words.
“Sasuke, I’m filthy rich, hold more political sway than the Hokage or Daimyo, and wake up every morning with at least two beautiful naked women hugging me. Obviously, I don’t think the path you have chosen is the correct one.”
While Sasuke blushed again, Hinata immediately started pouting and pinched Yuna’s waist, making Yuna and Anko chuckle in amusement. Unlike Hinata, Anko didn’t feel any shame due to Yuna’s statement and simply enjoyed Hinata’s flustered state.
“However, you seem to be under a slight misconception. Why in the world should I give a shit what kind of life goals you have? Am I your mother or something? If you want to burn yourself to the ground following the path of an avenger, then go right ahead.”
Sasuke couldn’t help but be a little dazed as soon as Yuna stopped speaking. The question ‘Why in the world should I give a shit what kind of life goals you have?’ kept endlessly playing in his head.
‘That’s right, why would she care? Why would anyone else even bother? Isn’t it my own path? Isn’t it what I choose to do? Why should I even care about anyone else’s opinion? I am an avenger! As long as I get my revenge, why should I care about anyone else’s opinion.’
While Sasuke was sinking deep into the quagmire of his own mind, Yuna continued talking.
“Literally, the only reason why you are here is that I acknowledged Itachi’s deeds as something commendable in its own twisted way, and, as such, I gave him a promise. You can seek as much revenge as you want, Sasuke. I will only interfere if your revenge is directed at Konoha as a whole, which I doubt it is. After all, do you want revenge against a random shopkeeper selling toys or children who haven’t even become genin yet?”
Sasuke didn’t need to think long about Yuna’s question and immediately shook his head in denial. A shopkeeper? Children? Why would he care about them? What’s the purpose of killing random people? He wanted to avenge the Uchiha clan and especially his brother. There was no purpose in killing people that had nothing to do with those incidents.
Yuna nodded her head in approval before a dangerous smile appeared on her face. She flicked her wrist, causing three scrolls to appear, which she casually tossed towards Sasuke.
“In that case, let me introduce you to the main culprits: Danzo Shimura, Homura Mitokado, Koharu Utatane.”
Sasuke caught the scrolls as the fire of vengeance reignited inside his eyes..
