Chapter 251: Cold and Calculating

When Yuna activated the [Flying Thunder God Seal] she gave to Fuu, she noticed that something was blocking her from reaching the correct destination.

A disdainful sneer appeared on Yuna’s face as she made a few minor modifications to her seal, and moments later, she appeared inside a vast hall.

The first thing she noticed was Fuu lying on the ground near the place where Yuna had just teleported to.

The moment she saw Fuu lying on the ground with her condition unknown, Yuna’s face switched from her usual vibrant facial expression to an expression of total indifference, while her eyes turned cold and calculating.

She focused her senses on everything around her and analyzed everything inside the vast hall within a fraction of a second.

First, she checked Fuu’s current conditions. Currently, Chomei was in the process of being extracted from her, but the process wasn’t over yet, and there was still a chance to save Fuu.

‘Salvageable.’

Yuna could feel a little bit of joy bubbling up within her, but she crushed it instantly and continued what she was doing. She was currently not in a situation where she could allow herself to allocate processing power to feeling joy.

Next, she analyzed the massive statue that stood inside the hall. It depicted an enormous monster with nine eyes that was currently sitting cross-legged while one of its currently closed eyes was about to open. Its hands were raised, and the ritual to extract Chomei was being held on top of them.

‘Gedo Mazo. Powerful but dormant. No threat.’

After that, Yuna’s sense washed over the ten people who were currently performing the ritual. She immediately noticed that only two people were actually present, while the other ones were mere projections. Her senses lingered a little longer on the person with a Rinnegan in his eyes and confirmed the story she heard from Hisoka about Pain, but moments later, she dismissed him like the other projections.

‘Projections. No threat.’

Now, Yuna scanned the only two people who were physically present. First, she analyzed a man with medium-length grey hair, purple eyes, and a massive scythe on his back. It didn’t take her long to find out his identity.

‘Hidan. No threat.’

After dismissing him as not being a threat, she scanned over the last person. Although most of his face was covered, it was noticeable that he had tan skin, while his eyes were rather unique. He had green irides, no pupils, and red sclerae.

‘Either Kakuzo or unknown. If Kakuzu, he is over 100 years old. Possible threat. If unknown. Threat.’

Finally, Yuna took a look at the chakra strings that were connecting the people present to Fuu and then to the Gedo Mazo.

‘Safest option: Severe them simultaneously.’

After Yuna finished her analyzes of the current situation, she started thinking about her strategy to solve the current situation, and moments later, she came to a conclusion.

She lifted her hands and pointed the palms of her hands at Kakuzu and Hidan. Instantly, two balls of ice chakra with chakra density comparable to a Bijuu Dama shot towards the duo.

“[Ice Style: Double Glaciar Bomb]”

Yuna could feel some backlash on her chakra coils from gathering such a massive amount of chakra within an instant, but she immediately suppressed that as well and continued her plan.

Kakuzo and Hidan’s eyes widened in shock when Yuna shot two massive clumps of chakra at them. Although Hidan coined himself immortal, while Kakuza was almost impossible to kill, neither of them wanted to be hit by Yuna’s attack.

Although the participants of the ritual to extract a Bijuu weren’t supposed to move during the process, they had enough people to continue despite two people leaving their station.

So, Hidan and Kakuzu both jumped out of the path of Yuna’s jutsu, and while Hidan had a cooky smile on his face, Kakuzu started frantically weaving hand seals while gathering earth chakra.

The moments the duo dropped out of the ritual, it became unstable for a short moment, and in that exact moment, six ice chains burst out of Yuna’s back and shot towards one chakra string each, while her hands blurred and shot an additional two ice blades towards the remaining two chains.

Just when the ritual was about to stabilize itself again, Yuna’s attacks arrived and severed all the strings simultaneously, stopping the ritual.

The very moment the ritual stopped, Yuna touched Fuu and teleported away with her.

“[Earth style: Great Earth Dome Jutsu]”

While everyone in the room looked dumbfounded at the spot where Yuna appeared and disappeared from just now, Kakuzu started engulfing himself with an earth sphere, but as soon as the jutsu ended, he began weaving seals yet again to cast another [Earth style: Great Earth Dome Jutsu].

Kakuzu didn’t reach his current age due to luck. He was a very cautious man with very sharp instincts. He had no clue what kind of jutsu Yuna just shot, but what he knew was that it would cause devastating damage.

Just when he finished casting his third earth sphere, Yuna’s jutsu smashed into the cave wall, and moments later, everything was getting torn to shreds by uncountable ice shards while the temperature in the cave dropped below zero within an instant.

Kakuzu could feel his first two earth domes getting shredded to pieces instantly as he gritted his teeth and continued to perform hand signs to increase his defense.

The moment the rampaging ice tore apart his third wall, he managed to create another one just in time to stop the onslaught.

Although Kakuzu wanted to do more to defend himself, he knew that he wouldn’t have enough time to make another earth wall, so moments later, black threats burst out all over his body and created a black sphere around him.

He could feel how his fourth earth wall was torn apart, and he could feel how the onslaught of ice was constantly smashing into his last line of defense, but he was relieved when he noticed that the power of the attack was actually getting weaker.

A few moments later, he could no longer feel his threads being damaged, so he retracted them into his body. The moment he saw what happed to the cave, he could only shake his at the devastation.

Everything was frozen and covered under a thick layer of ice and snow. Additionally, it was actually snowing inside the cave, which Kakuzu couldn’t even begin to understand how that worked.

Kakuzu looked around the room and noticed that the projections of the other eight people were still here, but since they didn’t have a physical form and weren’t affected by Yuna’s jutsu, it currently looked like they were buried up to their heads in snow.

Kakuzu couldn’t help but chuckle a little at the image, but moments later, he spread his sense to see what happened to Hidan. In conclusion, he properly wasn’t feeling that great right now. His shredded body parts were scattered all over the room, while every single piece of him was incased into a thick layer of ice.

“Hehe, I wonder if that idiot can survive that. I hope not.”
