Chapter 246: He Is Her World

His embrace made Feng Tianlan suddenly go stiff. She felt that this scene was very familiar, and it felt just like what she’d seen a moment ago in the bloody mist. It was as if they were re-enacting it right now. But who was that man?

“Lan’er!” When she didn’t react, Si Mobai became so anxious that his voice trembled.

Feng Tianlan grunted quietly and pushed him aside. She looked at the red dot between Si Mobai’s eyebrows, and it seemed different now. It reminded her of what she’d seen in the bloody mist, and she had a lot of questions on her mind.

She wasn’t sure if she’d had that dream because of this red dot between his eyebrows, or whether it had come from her subconscious.

“Dawn is breaking, so you should go.” Feng Tianlan tiredly chased him out as she fell back down on her pillow.

Si Mobai looked out of the window to check the time, then looked back at Feng Tianlan. “I’ll stay a bit longer. I promise that nobody will see me.”

Feng Tianlan knew that nothing she said would make him change his mind, so she let him be and turned her back to him. She closed her eyes and thought about what she’d seen in her dream. It was very blurry, but she remembered shouting out a single word.

Wu?

What followed the word ‘Wu’? Was that the name of the man in the bloody mist?

Si Mobai sat next to the bed and looked at Feng Tianlan, whose back was facing him. At first, he was just worried, but after confirming that everything was alright with her, he started thinking about other things.

She’d had a dream earlier that had caused her panic and pain when she’d tried to call out someone’s name. But she’d only called out half of the name before she’d woken up.

Was that person’s last name ‘Wu’? Or was that a first name?

Si Mobai’s eyes turned cold. He laid down next to her and wrapped an arm around Feng Tianlan’s slim waist. He pulled her into his embrace and rested his chin on her hair as he whispered, “Lan’er, always remember: you can do whatever you want in this world, but you will always be mine.”

He was her world. If the sky fell, he would hold it up for her. If the ground sank, he would let her stand on him. He would give her all the power in the world so long as she stuck to his only condition – that she belonged only to him!

Feng Tianlan’s body stiffened, and her heart trembled. This was the second time that he’d said something like that. It was domineering and aggressive, but also touching. Still, she didn’t need any of it!

Feng Tianlan deliberately curled her body up like a prawn. This position served as a method of self-protection and a wish to escape.

Si Mobai only held her tighter. When Feng Tianlan resisted him, he sighed in his heart. The road to his wife’s heart was a long one. As long as there weren’t any dangerous love rivals around, he had to muster enough patience!

When she woke up, Si Mobai had already left. She looked at the slight dent in the pillow and felt like his icy, minty smell still lingered in the air. She started thinking about what had happened the night before and slid into a daze.

“Feng Tianlan!” A roar suddenly tore through the Heavenly Phoenix Court.

When Chuling heard it, her first reaction was to shrink back and kneel. Her knees were bent already, but she caught herself in time and straightened back up. She blocked Tu Xiang and said in a shaky voice, “How dare you appear shouting like this in front of the clan head?”

“Get lost.” Tu Xiang was furious and didn’t have too much patience to spare. He pushed Chuling aside and looked at Feng Tianlan, who was leisurely sipping her porridge, and roared angrily, “Feng Tianlan, you can certainly play a good game! Are you trying to drive me nuts?”

Feng Tianlan saw that Chuling had nearly been pushed to the ground and put down her bowl. She looked up at Tu Xiang and replied coldly, “Looks like Father hasn’t suffered enough, so you dare to be so audacious in front of me.”

“Even if you’re the head of the clan, I’m still your father. At home, you should obey your father. So now, as your father, I’m ordering you to take back the restrictions you’ve enforced outside the house!” When Tu Xiang thought about how humiliated he had been earlier that day and how his life in Feng Manor was now more miserable than a servant’s, his blood pressure soared. He wanted to kill Feng Tianlan there and then.
