Chapter 529: The Flying Frost Pavilion’s Secret

Pang Tai looked at the serious Feng Tianlan. He sat down and sighed in despair. “I finally have a master, but now she’s leaving. How good it will be if you could stay in the Flying Frost Pavilion. With me around, no one will bully you.”

“This is all I can teach you. The most important part is understanding it on your own.”

Pang Tai didn’t seem to have heard what Feng Tianlan said. He just took a stick and started drawing circles on the ground. He tried to draw a different shape with his stick instead of just circles. However, in the end, he still routed back to the starting point and connected the line to form a circle. He did that continuously for half an hour.

Feng Tianlan guessed his thoughts after a short period of staring at his drawings. “You want to leave this place, but for some reason, you have been constrained and prevented from leaving.”

“Master is indeed a master. You managed to see through my thoughts in such a short period of time.” Pang Tai threw the stick in his hand away immediately. He jumped towards Feng Tianlan. “Does Master have any idea of how to get me out of this situation?”

“What’s constraining you?” Feng Tianlan asked. She had a feeling that this had something to do with the God Supreme a thousand years ago.

After hearing those words, Pang Tai squatted once more and sighed. “I can’t tell you. It is the Flying Frost Pavilion’s secret.”

Feng Tianlan let out a soft “uh-huh” and did not question him any further. She took out the Fire Cloud Furnace from her storage ring. “Today, I will be teaching you how to refine a Blue Vitality Pill.”

This pill helped by removing the impurities when one was absorbing spiritual qi, causing the spiritual qi to be better absorbed into the cinnabar field to be refined into spiritual force.

Pang Tai glanced at her and nodded. He started refining pills with her. However, he was preoccupied. He kept causing the furnace to explode, turning him from a tidy old man into a charred withered stick with burnt hair.

“Since you are not in the mood, let’s stop refining.” Feng Tianlan retrieved ten pills and put them into the porcelain bottle.

Pang Tai stretched his hand and scratched his hair that was messy from the explosion and then plucked at his burnt face. He turned into an old cat instantly. “Master, aren’t you curious?”

“What?”

“The Flying Frost Pavilion’s secret.” After Feng Tianlan shook her head, Pang Tai was slightly frantic. “Master, this is a huge matter. After dealing with it, you can enter Xuantian Continent without the need to take an examination.”

“I am not interested.” Feng Tianlan was indifferent.

“Master.” Pang Tai got even more frantic. “If you become the headmaster of the Flying Frost Pavilion, I will tell you the secret.”

“Did the previous headmasters know about this?” Feng Tianlan looked at Pang Tai. That meant that Qi Hongan knew about it as well. If she asked him about it, she might get something out of him.

Pang Tai nodded, then shook his head. “Qi Hongan had a bad nature. I was afraid that he might have ideas about this matter, so I didn’t tell him. Xu Qiming was one of my better disciples. However, he had no interest in being the headmaster.”

Feng Tianlan let out an “oh” and resumed being disinterested.

“Master, please be more curious, then I will tell you.” Pang Tai jumped in front of Feng Tianlan and raised his dark, old face. His smile was very sly. The wrinkles on his face could squeeze a mosquito to death.

Feng Tianlan shook her head. “No.”

No matter how Pang Tai tried to convince her, he couldn’t trick Feng Tianlan into becoming interested in the Flying Frost Pavilion’s secret. He was getting more and more frustrated. After her continuous unwillingness, he finally gave up. “Master, I will ask you again. Do you want to know?”

Feng Tianlan looked at Pang Tai who was in front of her, a smile tugging at the corner of her mouth. “No.” She didn’t want to become the headmaster of the Flying Frost Pavilion.

“I beg you, alright?” He had kept it in for a few decades. He was going to die from suffocation.

“No way.”

Pang Tai stood up abruptly. “I don’t care. I will tell you anyway. And then, you have to become the headmaster of the Flying Frost Pavilion.”
