Chapter 1168: Missed Lan’er So Much Recently

It didn’t matter if it was of no use. It didn’t matter that she wasn’t actually holding his hand. She grabbed onto his hand and called out to him, hoping that he would hear her voice, recognize her and not marry this another woman.

Si Mobai originally wasn’t thinking of looking into the bridal sedan. He frowned with his beautiful sword-like brows. Then, he bent over and looked into the bridal sedan. He looked down at his empty hand and saw that the bride had stretched out her hand. He immediately pulled his hand away and said coldly, “If you want to get married, don’t touch me.”

The bride’s hand twitched. “Do your part well for the wedding,” she said through gritted teeth.

“Just try me,” Si Mobai responded coldly. Looking down at his hand, he didn’t know why but he felt like he had just held Lan’er’s hand. With that thought, he couldn’t help but gently squeeze his hand in the air, just like he was rally holding her hand.

This should have been the wedding for him and Lan’er, but…

Thinking of Feng Tianlan, Si Mobai smiled. The only thing he could do was to imagine that she was here and pretend that his bride was Lan’er. He wouldn’t be able to get on with the wedding if he didn’t do that.

Feng Tianlan followed and exited the bridal sedan. She looked up and saw his enchanting, handsome, god-like looks. The red mole in between his brows was as eye-catching as blood and his alluring eyes were full of affection as always.

“Mobai!” Feng Tianlan shouted aggrievedly. Tears welled up in her already red eyes. She let go of his hands and threw herself at him. She wrapped her hands around his waist and called his name softly.

Si Mobai froze. He looked up and scanned the surroundings as if looking for something. He seemed to have heard Lan’er and she sounded like she was distraught.

“Your Highness. It’s already the auspicious hour for the ceremony,” the Matron of Honor reminded Si Mobai.

Si Mobai lowered his gaze. There was nothing. Lan’er wasn’t hugging him or calling his name. It should be his imagination. Maybe it’s because he missed Lan’er so much recently.

Feng Tianlan moved away from Mobai and looked at him. He was dressed in traditional red wedding attire. His looks were really enchanting and if before, he looked like a fallen immortal, now, he looked even more like one. With his alluring eyes slightly red and dressed in the red wedding outfit, he gave off a cold and aloof aura. He did not look at all happy to be getting married. Instead, he looked like a crazed demon who was ready to kill.

“Mobai, don’t marry her! Didn’t you promise to marry me?” Feng Tianlan looked straight at Si Mobai. She choked up while talking to him.

Si Mobai frowned as he looked around but saw nothing. He couldn’t help but rub his temples. It seemed like he missed Lan’er so much that he kept thinking she was right beside him.

“Mobai, she is not me! I am the real Feng Tianlan!” Feng Tianlan grabbed Mobai’s sleeves and looked at him hopefully. “Didn’t you say that you would recognize me regardless of how I looked? Why can’t you tell that it’s not me? Why are you marrying someone else?”

Si Mobai kept hearing Lan’er’s voice, but he couldn’t see her anywhere no matter what. So once again, he thought he was hallucinating. “Let’s hurry up with the formal ceremony. I don’t want to be with you a minute longer.”

“You’re really impatient, Your Highness.” The bride laughed.

Si Mobai snorted coldly and took the bride into the Palace. Feng Tianlan followed Si Mobai closely, calling his name repeatedly—but he couldn’t hear her voice at all.

“Mobai, I am here. Look at me!

“Mobai, don’t marry her. She’s a fake! You cannot marry her.”
