Chapter 601: The Virtuous Demon King

Feng Tianlan shook her head gently and swallowed her tears. “Nothing’s wrong.”

Luo Yunzhu looked at Si Mobai with doubt. Although she was afraid of this Lord Wargod. she would beat up the person who bullied Lan’er, whether Lord Wargod or the King of Hell!

Even if she couldn’t win, she would still give it a try. She couldn’t just let Feng Tianlan get bullied for nothing!

Si Mobai stood up and cleared the dishes on the table. He then said coldly, “Accompany Lan’er.”

After hearing that cold voice, Luo Yunzhu’s anger instantly dissipated. She retracted her head and replied with an ‘oh’. She regained her senses after he had gone far away. She then looked at the clean table and felt as if she had just seen a ghost.

Why did she feel like the Lord Wargod was giving out a vibe of a virtuous husband and a good father?

“Tianlan, you’re very skillful in taming your husband,” Luo Yunzhu exclaimed uncontrollably. He was the Demon Wargod who instilled fear in people, yet he became so virtuous. He even cleared the cutleries after a meal. This was scarier than seeing a ghost.

When she mentioned Mobai, Feng Tianlan’s depressed mood was elevated. She curled her lips slightly as she asked, “Why are you here? Aren’t there still two to three months before our reunion?”

It had been half a year since she made a promise to reunite with Yunzhu and the others in Beiqi Nation.

“His Highness called me here. Besides, I heard that…” Luo Yunzhu glanced at Feng Tianlan cautiously as she spoke. She dared not continue what she was about to say.

Feng Tianlan remained silent for a while, then nodded her head slowly and said, “Uh-huh, Nansheng passed away while saving me.”

“Tianlan.” Luo Yunzhu became serious. She wanted to comfort her, but she didn’t know what to say.

“It’s alright. Don’t worry about it too much.” Feng Tianlan giggled. Mobai probably called Yunzhu over so that she could keep her company.

Luo Yunzhu was staring at Feng Tianlan. Compared to half a year ago, she had slimmed down quite a lot. Her face wasn’t as cold anymore. Hints of humanity could now be seen on her face.

“Although I don’t know what happened, I’d do the same as what Gu Nansheng did if it were me.” She quickly held her wrist when she felt a change in Feng Tianlan’s mood. “I believe that you’d do the same if you were in a similar situation.”

“Yunzhu, actually I’ve thought it through. I’m really fine.” She needed to live on, and live on bravely. She was clear that she couldn’t keep immersing herself in such a mood.

“Nansheng and you were friends. We’re also friends. To us, these are very, very important people. It doesn’t matter if we have arguments from time to time, because at the end of the day, we’ll still sacrifice ourselves for our friends.”

“I believe Nansheng wouldn’t want you to feel guilty about this. You must live on with her happiness, don’t waste her efforts.”

“Because if it were me, I’d think the same as well. I’d allow you to grieve for a period of time, but I wouldn’t allow you to blame yourself for the rest of your life.” Luo Yunzhu raised her head and looked at Feng Tianlan. “Or else I would neither rest in peace nor be able to reincarnate.”

After hearing these words, Feng Tianlan stared at her angrily. “What nonsense are you spouting.”

“Enough of grief and self-blame. It’s time for revenge. The Demon King has been tamed by you into a virtuous husband. If you keep going like that, he might have to massacre a whole city soon.”

Feng Tianlan replied with an ‘uh-huh’. “Actually Mobai has been thinking too much. I’m really fine.”

She just couldn’t accept Gu Nansheng’s death in such a short period of time. After all, she was her close friend, not a stranger.

“Chuling and Shang Chengle are here as well. Let’s make the murderer have a taste of being cut into a thousand pieces.” Luo Yunzhu couldn’t wait to try it. She hated the person who killed Gu Nansheng as well.
