Chapter 294: You Said You Wouldn’t Marry Anyone Else

“Stop it! Stop it right now!” Si Rong watched the letters drift down through the air like snowflakes. He screamed at her madly then pounced.

Tu Xiuyu didn’t dodge Si Rong. She just continued laughing loudly and crazily.

Si Rong’s hatred exploded. Suddenly, a dagger was in his hand. He stabbed it hard into Tu Xiuyu’s heart and glared at her with bloodshot eyes. “I said, stop it. Didn’t you hear me?”

“Big Brother Rong.” Tu Xiuyu’s eyes brimmed with emotion, and she started crying. She hadn’t been hugged by him like this in a long time. It felt wonderful.

Si Rong had gone mad when he saw the letters fluttering to the ground. He pulled out the dagger then stabbed her again, screaming “stop” at her like a lunatic. He could not see any of the emotions in her eyes.

Tu Xiuyu’s eyes were wide open as she looked at Si Rong, who couldn’t stop stabbing her. She remembered the first time they had slept together, how he had called her name so passionately as he’d slipped inside her.

“Big Brother Rong.” Tu Xiuyu suddenly used all her strength to propel herself forward as if something had burst inside her. She clutched at Si Rong, and they broke through the fence. They started falling together.

When he realized he was in midair, fear of death took over, and Si Rong paled. “Let go of me, you crazy woman! Let go!”

Tu Xiuyu hugged his waist tightly and buried her face in his chest, just like when they had been a couple. “Big Brother Rong, you said you’d marry no one else.”

Since he wanted to marry another woman now, he could go ahead and die. He had made a promise. If he couldn’t keep it, she would help him.

“You’re a crazy woman! A nutcase!” Si Rong managed to twist Tu Xiuyu’s elbow enough to break it, but she still didn’t loosen her grip. He saw that they were going to hit the ground soon. In desperation, Si Rong exerted all his force and made sure that Tu Xiuyu was below him.

With a loud bam, blood spurted everywhere, and all the onlookers closed their eyes and started screaming. This scene was way too bloody.

Si Rong went into shock. He felt like some bone was broken somewhere and couldn’t move much. He looked up to see Si Mobai glaring down at him, and he called out weakly, “Se-second Brother.”

Since they were brothers, he hoped that Si Mobai would spare his life.

Si Mobai looked calmly at him, but there was only coldness in his eyes, no emotion. “Separate the two of them and throw them in jail.”

It was still early in the morning. Tu Xiuyu, previously known as the female genius, had created a terrible scene that had ended with her death. Tu Xiang and the rest were thrown in jail to be convicted by those in power, on Si Mobai’s orders. Once they went in, they were as good as dead!

Before leaving, Si Mobai looked up at Feng Tianlan. After not seeing her for one night, he thought that she looked prettier today.

Luo Yunzhu saw that Tu Xiuyu looked so satisfied in death and was confused. “I really don’t know what she was thinking. Surely, she should have died feeling wronged, no?”

“Maybe she was happy to die in the arms of someone she loved.” Zhang Tiancheng guessed.

Luo Yunzhu was even more confused. “She really should have been upset. If I was killed by someone I loved, I wouldn’t let him off even after becoming a ghost.”

“You’ve never loved anyone before, so you don’t know. After you’ve fallen in love, then perhaps you will understand why she did what she did.”

Luo Yunzhu glared at him. “As if you’ve ever loved anyone.” Then she looked at Feng Tianlan for affirmation. “Tianlan, don’t you think so?”

“She wasn’t trying to become a vengeful ghost, after all.” For the last time, Feng Tianlan looked at Tu Xiuyu’s dead body dressed in red and entirely covered with blood. Then, the guards took the body away, likely to throw it into some mass grave.

Luo Yunzhu clicked her tongue and looked at Feng Tianlan. “Don’t tell me you pity her? Or that you’re feeling regretful or guilty for having done this?”
