Chapter 409: The Days Yet to Come

Hearing the name Xu Qiming, Luo Yunzhu couldn’t help but to whisper to Feng Tianlan, “Is that guy really his parents’ biological son? They gave him such a horrible name.”

Xu Qiming shot Luo Yunzhu a cold stare as she immediately straightened up and said, “My hearing is not very good.”

“Martial uncle, we are not lying. She really isn’t just an Advanced-stage Spiritual Master. She should at least be a Middle-stage Spiritual Grandmaster,” Zhao Haojiang explained anxiously. Why didn’t he believe him?

He was obviously telling the truth, and Feng Tianlan had admitted as much, so why did martial uncle not believe him?

“You should tell better lies if you plan to be dishonest. Even if Feng Tianlan were a Middle-stage Spiritual Grandmaster, it would still be impossible for her to take down a few dozen Spiritual Masters.” Xu Qiming looked at Zhao Haojiang seriously and said, “You guys fought amongst yourselves and got injured. You should go back and recuperate, or else, if this goes on, you will be crippled for life.”

“Martial uncle, I am telling the truth!” Zhao Haojiang was bursting with rage. “The others can prove it. She was really the one who hurt us.”

“Feng Tianlan?” Xu Qiming’s gaze fell on Feng Tianlan. He then sized her up once more and said to Zhao Haojiang, “It looks like you’d do anything just to please Pei’er. This ruse of self-injury was very well played.”

He’d heard the name ‘Feng Tianlan’ before. Once, she’d been a genius in the South Winds Nation. Then, she’d apparently feuded with Pei’er. Zhao Haojiang liked Pei’er, so it was natural that he would bully her rival to please her.

“Martial uncle.” Zhao Haojiang was so annoyed that he forgot the pain in his leg as well as how to respect his elders. He shouted, “I am telling the truth! She’s admitted it too, so why don’t you chase her out of the Flying Frost Pavilion?”

He was furious!

If any of his other martial uncles had been here, they would have been on his side no matter whether he was right or wrong and chased her out. However, he had no other choice since this was the martial uncle he’d run into.

“So, she’s supposed to just walk away from here and say to the world that we, the bullies of Flying Frost Pavilion, are weak? Are we to tell people that dozens of Flying Frost Pavilion’s disciples, who are Spiritual Masters, were badly injured by one girl?” Xu Qiming stared at Zhao Haojiang coldly as he raged on, “You may be shameless, but the Flying Frost Pavilion still needs its dignity.”

“Martial uncle…”

Zhao Haojiang still wanted to explain. However, he heard Tu Xiupei call out in her tactful voice, “Senior Brother Haojiang! Martial Uncle Xu!”

“Junior Sister Pei’er.” When he saw her, Zhao Haojiang’s eyes brightened. Junior Sister Pei’er was still the gentle one. Even her voice was soothing.

“Martial niece Pei’er!” Xu Qiming shouted back in a grim tone.

Tu Xiupei took light steps forward. First, she helped up Zhao Haojiang, then she looked around and said, “Senior Brother, what’s wrong? Eldest Sister, why didn’t you wait for me? How come you came up by yourself? I wanted to be the one to show you to your room.”

Zhao Haojiang took advantage of this situation to lean against Tu Xiupei’s body. His arms grazed the tips of her breasts. “Junior Sister Pei’er, I finally understand why you have repeatedly suffered at her hands.”

Tu Xiupei felt disgusted by the fact that Zhao Haojiang was taking advantage of her. Still, she pretended not to notice, saying, “My senior brothers, what’s wrong? Why are you all injured to this extent?”

Zhao Haojiang described the whole incident to her. Of course, he didn’t dwell on the part where he’d bullied them first since Martial Uncle Xu was still around. This was really all his fault.

“Impossible. Eldest Sister is only an Advanced-stage Spiritual Master. Besides, she has a kind heart, so why would she do such a thing?” Tu Xiupei covered her mouth in disbelief.

“Of course, it’s true. You know I never lie.”

Tu Xiupei stayed silent for a while, then looked at Zhao Haojiang hopefully. She said, “Senior Brother Haojiang, no matter whether this incident took place as you described or not, can you let it go on my account? She is my big sister, after all.”
